Vintage Aynsley Cobalt Blue and Gold Cream Jug | Pattern 7348, Circa 1945
An elegant vintage Aynsley bone china cream jug, pattern number 7348, dating from around 1945.
The jug has a classic two-tone design. A rich, deep cobalt blue glaze covers the upper half and is separated from the white glazed lower body by a fine gold band. The gently fluted body flares out to a shaped spout, and the gilded rim, gold foot and gilt-edged scroll handle complete the look.
The interior is white, with a fine gold line running around the rim and spout.
The base carries the green Aynsley crown backstamp, "Aynsley England Bone China".
It is a lovely piece to use with a vintage tea set, or to display on its own. The strong blue and gold makes it a striking accent on a dresser, shelf or tea table.

A Note on Aynsley
Aynsley is one of England's longest-established fine china makers. The company was founded by John Aynsley in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, in the late 18th century.
The firm became known for high-quality bone china, rich ground colours and generous gilding, and its tableware graced many British homes throughout the 20th century. This cream jug is a fine example of the bold cobalt and gold styling associated with mid-century Aynsley.
