Vintage Tremar Pottery Cat Money Boxes | Pair of 1970s Cornish Stoneware Cats

£40.00

A charming pair of vintage Tremar Pottery cat money boxes, dating from around the 1970s and made in Cornwall.

These delightful stoneware cats are presented in the classic crouched, watchful pose associated with Tremar Pottery. Each cat has plenty of character, with hand-incised tabby stripes, expressive painted faces, glazed ear details and warm, earthy stoneware colouring.

Both pieces are clearly marked "TREMAR U.K." to the base.

The two cats have slightly different colouring, making them particularly appealing displayed together as a pair. Their handmade character, tactile carved detailing and wonderfully retro appearance make them a lovely addition to a collection of Cornish pottery, vintage ceramics or cat-themed collectibles.

They would look equally at home on a shelf, mantelpiece, bookcase or vintage-inspired display.
